Winter Mountaineering is a demanding activity which should not be entered into lightly. The skills required take many years to develop. The basic skills are the most important ones; navigating, arresting a slip, assessing snow conditions, route selection, correct equipment etc, (the list is extensive). On a Winter Skills course with Rannoch-Adventure you will be introduced to all the fundamental Winter Skills. The course objective is to give clients enough information to make sensible decisions whilst on the Mountains in the Winter. If you do not wish to attend a formal course of instruction, then maybe a Guided Mountain Walk would be your preference. |
